De Vlei is an outdoor amphitheatre located in the scenic and quaint town of Darling. This outdoor venue provides a spacious entertainment area and forms part of a community hub that includes several entrepreneurial business spaces as well as a skateboard park.
The De Vlei Amphitheatre is available for hire for cultural concerts and performance events that promote arts and culture.
- The amphitheatre can accommodate a maximum of 1,000 people.
- It is available for music, dance, cultural events, choir performances, and other performing arts.
- Applications are subject to terms and conditions as stipulated in the approved framework for the use of the amphitheatre.
- Reservations must be made at least 21 days before the planned date and are subject to availability and the payment of the required deposit.
- The amphitheatre is only available for events offered free of charge to the public—in other words, organisers may not charge entry fees for performances.
- All events are subject to approval by the municipality and must comply with relevant legislation and municipal by-laws.
- The facility is available during the day until 22:00 on weekdays and until 23:00 on weekends.
- Deposits must be paid at the Darling Cashiers.
