Swartland Municipality, with its head office in Malmesbury, services the towns of Malmesbury, Yzerfontein, Moorreesburg, Darling, Koringberg, Abbotsdale, Kalbaskraal, Chatsworth, Riverlands, Riebeek West and Riebeek Kasteel.

Department of the Director: Civil Engineering Services

Manager: Project Management Unit (Malmesbury)

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must be in possession of all the requirements below:

  • B. Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Sc., B.Eng., B.Tech);Eligible for registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa and/or The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professionals.
  • Code B driver’s license
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and in group context
  • Computer literate – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Projects, AutoCAD, Caddie
  • Good writing skills
  • Good technical report writing skills
  • Good Afrikaans and English writing skills
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adhere to competing deadlines/cut off dates.
  • Ability to work under pressure and demanding circumstances
  • Ability to deal with conflict situations
  • 6 Years relevant service experience within local government.

Salary Scale: R 482 304 – R 626 004 p.a

  • Law Enforcement Certificate and Traffic Diploma 
  • Registered as a Traffic Officer

  • Negotiating skills
  • 2 Years experience

Recommendation

  • Trained as a narcotic dog handler

Salary Scale: R 236 820 – R 307 368 p.a
