Swartland Municipality, with its head office in Malmesbury, services the towns of Malmesbury, Yzerfontein, Moorreesburg, Darling, Koringberg, Abbotsdale, Kalbaskraal, Chatsworth, Riverlands, Riebeek West and Riebeek Kasteel.

  • B-Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Sc, B Eng, B. Tech)
  • Professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa
  • Municipal minimum competency level for middle management as per regulation 493 of the MFMA
  • Code B Driver’s Licence
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and in group context
  • Computer literate
  • Good Afrikaans/English writing skills
  • Good technical report writing skills
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good technical and calculating skills
  • Fluent Afrikaans/English speaking
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and demanding circumstances
  • Ability to deal with conflict situations
  • Ability to adhere to competing deadlines/cut off dates
  • 6 Years relevant experience within Local Government

  • 8 years relevant civil services construction and maintenance experience

FULL–TIME STUDY BURSARIES FOR 2020

Swartland Municipality will be offering bursaries for full-time studies at approved tertiary institutions to those persons residing in the greater Swartland Municipal Area.  Candidates who will be registering for an undergraduate degree/diploma in one of the approved fields of study in 2020 are encouraged to apply.

Accounting
Supply Chain Management
Internal Audit
Risk Management
 
Bursaries will cover registration, examination and class fees.
